Kerberos Application/Control Panel

This documenation is for Mac OS 8 and 9, and Mac OS X 10.1 only. For the most current Kerberos application documentation for Mac OS X 10.2 and later, click here.

What is the Kerberos application/control panel?

The Kerberos application (on Mac OS X) or control panel (on Classic Mac OS) is the administration application for Kerberos for Macintosh. It allows the user to change their Kerberos for Macintosh preferences; obtain, destroy, renew and inspect their Kerberos tickets; and change their Kerberos password.

How do I use the Kerberos application/control panel?

If you are an MIT user with Kerberos for Macintosh 4.0.x, please use the MIT documentation.

If you are outside MIT, see either the Using the Kerberos Application on Mac OS X or the Using the Kerberos Control Panel on Mac OS 8.x & 9.x documentation.

Where do I get the Kerberos application/control panel?

In Mac OS X 10.2 and later, the Kerberos management application ships with the OS and is located in /System/Library/CoreServices . The Mac OS X Kerberos Extras can be used to make an alias in a more convenient location.

For Mac OS X 10.1 and Mac OS 9.x/8.x, the Kerberos application/control panel is installed as part of Kerberos for Macintosh. You can get Kerberos for Macintosh 4.0.3, the last release for those versions of the operating systems, here.

Please read the Kerberos application/control panel Version History and for information on the latest release of the Kerberos application/control panel.
