In which our heroes ...
Orhan 2 Day 17 TE 6060
Alarms go off and combat begins! Things start out depressing a bit as
we try our teleports and find them blocked. We move on to sleeping nearby
guards and get the initial upper hand. Alas, we are all AT 1 though.
Haeraan gets in some good mind ccontrol action on some guards while Oathar
gets pummled in his cage with blaster fire. Ouch.
We do fairly well, but then the grenades come out. The mash Alynna and
Kyrik. Alynna goes down, but Imre gets her back up.
We do fairly well again, but then one of the chief guards pulls out the
BFG 2000. On his first shot, he kills Kyrik. Dead. Toast. Game
Over.
In the face of the BFG the rest of us turn invisible and sneak towards
the bad guys.
Unfortunately, Imre and Oathar are unlucky enough to bump together and
turn visible. Haeraan leaps in front of the BFG that's tracking them and
gets mutilated, though he's still barely up. Alynna charges the BFG guy.
He mutilates her too.
Oathar and Imre cast mind controls everywhere and in the end, Haeraan
(mostly dead), Imre and Oathar carry the dead Kyrik and Alynna outside
far enough to teleport away.
Their room at the Inn becomes an emergency shock trauma ward. It's pretty
gruesome.
We do manage to meet with the underground. There have been expeditions
to the poles, but they can't mount campaigns in force due to the balance
of power. We hand over the NOC list. And the Deep Cover operatives list.
In exchange for the bonus information, they clean up our room and get
us all onto a boat and out of the city.
Once out of the city, we run like we're being chased by Lord's of Essense.
Which we probably are.

Voriig Kye come to get us and we manage to get out of this damned hemisphere.
We give Voriig Kye all of the data except the Orbital Space Station crystal.
Yay!
Orhan 2 Day 33 TE 6060
Voriig Kye gives us:

A gift for our group: A white softly glowing crystal (2 inch diameter)
shaped like a dodecahedron. "Each of you should put a drop of blood
in the hole and it will forge a link between you." We do this thing.
Now we can activate the crytal a total of three times. When activated,
we take all of our hit point and power points and put them into one giant
pool. Individual multipliers or adders do not help. Unpains etc. don't
help. However, when the pool is activated, there's a blanket x2 multiplier.
Everyone suffers the same penalty. Stun may be distributed and redistributed
as we desire. It lasts a day or so or until we turn it off.
A gift for each of us: He takes us each individually down into his tower,
into a deep chamber where we see a crystal ball. One of the seeing stones.
He gives us a glimpse of numerous alternate presents, what might have
been. One of the Illarsiri. If we turned evil, or didn't join the party,
or whatever. We each gets a total of 10 free skill ranks. 2 can be used
for anything. 2 can be used for any skill within our current professions.
2 can only be used on skills that cost 10 points or more. 2 can only be
used on skills that cost 15 or more. 2 can only be used on skills that
cost 20 or more.
We gain a level on Karalon. (Usual bonuses).
- Either learn a 6th list at normal cost or you can buy one list at
half cost
- Learn any language or lore we want (within reason)
- For 1 lore or language, we can treat it as an everyman skill.
- For weapons we can buy one weapon and the category it's in with an
extra rank at the lowest cost.
- Also get one free rank for a second weapon.
- Plus the loremaster lists are available.
We go up to 2 or +2 fate points.
Random News from around the world:
- Kyrik's expidition to Terrania is back and they are quite pleased
with him. Kyrik gets a seat on the advisory board the local temple of
Valris.
- The Prince has formed a small group of seperate advisors on security
(secret service) and wants Alynna as an advisor on the committee.
- Evil brother is leading the mutant lugraki of Zor and there has been
fighting in Rakhan. Good brother is still in school.
- After some negotiations, the Selkai conclave of merchants have given
the temples a bigger representation. Haeraan is asked to be a representative
to the Inner Circle from Reann to overbalance the Neela/Andaris conflict.
The new high priest appoints Haeraan to the seat. When he's not around
much there's no one in the seat.
- Oathar's wife has been building our empire in our absense. Oathar's
new pirate hunting ship is done. He'll have to name it.
- The eastern swamp has grown by 50%. A bunch of little communities
have been swallowed up. A number of cults are putting up black monoliths
there.
- Nusmoi has taken a position at the local temple of Eissa. She doesn't
want to upset the politics though so it's an advisory position. Simon
is out of his burning phase mostly. He's now in his pets phase.
- Good mom is living in Santa Vallandra and has set up a temple there.
Haeraan's guy also has a temple of Reann there.
- The temple of Reann wants Haeraan to sponsor another group of low
level paladins. The first batch in Nuyom Khom have all still survived
and are recruiting like gangbusters.
- Our army units all advanced a level. (to third)
