Orhan 3 Day 27 TE 6063

Her name was Saera, the son's name was Mikal. Imre examines the letter and finds it was written in Orellian 20 odd years ago. Imre takes some of the hair and gets a copy of the Picture via Kyrik.

Rellian is run by the council of five. High priest of Phaon, Grand guild master, and three wealthy lords.

Imre and Haeraan investigate the missing woman, while Oathar and Alynna investigate the temple of Akalatan.

Alynna and Oathar investigate the temple. it's been here for a couple of years. After discussing matter with an underpriest we are told that Lord Cassius is the guy to talk to to set us up. He's been properly induced to smooth the way for Atalakan's church here. We're invited back for services the next day and told to bring a sacrifice of our choice.

Imre and Haeraan disguise themselves as Saera from the locket and an apparent relative and troll the town looking for those who might remember their relatives. they encounter a pickpocket who offers to lead them around town and then steals Imre's purse. They plan to meet the kid in the morning.

Alynna and Oathar make an appointment to see Lord Cassius in the morning, but decide not to kidnap him.

Orhan 3 Day 28 TE 6063

In the morning, their pickpocket Beralis comes back. He leads them to a bar where all the old folks hang out. They ask around after Saera. They are thwarted by all the old folks and their failing eyesight and memories. They eventually remember her though. She apparently came in and gave birth right there in the common room of the Raven. Their men at arms escorted them off to the west, to head to the Dales or something.

Alynna and Oathar talk to Cassius. Mind reaming him, he knows that they want to build a pretty big temple here and supplant the other temples if at all possible. The high priest is a bad bad person who he thinks is kidnapping people and using them in their rituals. The high priest is also rich.

Imre and Haeraan go to the Raven and look into the past to witness the labor. He sees the guards and older woman who is escorting her. A midwife (Mira) shows up to help.

Alynna and Oathar head to the high temple of Phaon to see the high priest. they have to wait for a while, as he's off seeing to city business.

Haeraan and Imre track down the midwife. She's pretty sure that Saera when off to the west to a town in the middle of nowhere. Imre hires the pickpocket Berelis as his spy here in the city. When we take over, we should put him in charge, the kid says. (Imre recruited him disguised as Saera.)

The high priest of Phaon returns and we talk to him, but we can not cast any spells in his temple without his permission, so we can't check him for curses or anything.

We split up and invade Cassius, Pompey, and Cesear's houses to look for incriminating evidence. We each find lot's of papers and safes containing more papers. Cesear's safe has a bunch of notes about minor officials. Backmail notes essentially. They all have multiple sets of books outside. Cassius has had a lot of cash influx recently. There are letters from an interested party, then later your friend, which are all about looking for aide in setting up an evil temple in the city. Haeraan finds in Pompey's safe letter from Cassius offering Pompey a set of very advantageous business deals in exchange for Pompey's votes on the council with regard to temples. He also finds a small crystal inside the secret compartment within the safe.

Haeraan's crystal Cassius tells Pompey that he's giving lot's of money and there are forces here you do not know and don't ask questions and lot's of other nonsense along those lines.
