Session 290

In which our heroes ...

Orhan 1 Day 2 TE 6065

Oathar goes down and vanishes (teleports out). Kyrik is killed but stapled. All the councillors are stapled. We regroup.

Alynna checks on the councillor she teleported to the temple of Cay. They tell her to give them some warnign next time. They almost chopped him when he showed up.

Haeraan heads to the temple of Neela to pick up the unconscious Oathar. Haeraan gets the runaround from the temple. They're apparently still healing Oathar and the high priestess doesn't want to be disturbed.

Imre searches the down guys and takes their loot.

Haeraan talks to his order dudes and get a long history lesson about the Order of the Eye, Luarto Shang, and all the other badness. They're pretty darned well informed. They know that Coran Maas is an Ardanian seer, though still loyal to the prince in Selkai. They have some advice. "If you wish Quelbourne to be useful, don't go back there in the near future." "Er.... why?" "You will understand why..." They also think the Alliance won't be coming back here until they've reevaluated their options. They also note that they've never been able to read or scry Enik Foor. Suspicious.

Maxim Pellax is visiting the local loremaster, so we go report. There's an Eilar, Rikanen Tighs, and Maxim. We brief them.

We celebrate on Maxim's skyship.

We sleep for the night.

Orhan 1 Day 3 TE 6065

Imre prepares to build his tower in Santa Vallandra. He starts gathering materials.

Haeraan goes to have lunch with Luna. She plays seer games predicting the end of his stories and the like.

He gives her a tour of Santa Vallandra. She thinks the emporer look young. A local priest of Cay wanders by sees them, bows, and heads off. Then a priest of Rianne wanders by and bows. Later and priestess of Neela comes by and smiles. Then some sisters of Eissa come by and nod pleasantly. When the priest of Valris comes by, Haeraan cracks and stops him. He interrogates him, but the priest swears nothing is up. More sisters of Eissa and a priest of Rianne come by. The priest of Rianne invites them to come by anytime to reserve the church if necessary or whatever... Luna likes how the place is friendly. A few tradespersons come by and offer to outfit Luna in nice dresses and shoes and the like.

In Selkai, several messages have been passed up from Santa Vallandra, with silk orders and leather for shoes, and all kinds of other odd things that usually aren't in high demand in SV. Alynna deals with it. "Why the heck do they want crepe papers?" Alynna hears from the church of Cay that Haeraan is getting married. It turns out there's a massive gossip chain.

Back in Chelzaria, Luna shows Haeraan around. She knows all her people by first name. There are a bunch of smiths and smelters in the town since it's a mining town. The miners all know Ole' Stampy, although they haven't seen much of him lately.

Come the evening, the stars start to come out. Luna says, "Look!" Haeraan doesn't see much, but Luna seem interested. After a bit, she asks Haeraan if he's ever been two places at once. He denies is and she insists that he's in two places at once. She'll have to hold onto him more closely. She thinks it might be some horrible spacetime mistake, or maybe not. He's definitely here, but he's also somewhere else. She thinks about it for a while and decides it all makes perfect sense. Then she ives him a flower to make him feel better and wanders off. After dinner... "So, tell me about the dragons you've slain."

Haeraan asks about her mother's. There was a violent storm one night and Luna's mother walked out of the darkness. The wand used to be her mother's. It would bless anyone good it touched.

Haeraan goes to tell his mom about his girlfriend. He really digs the way she can render evil doers down to ash with her wand. the intelligence service put together a dossier on Luna and delivered it to Haeraan's mom.

Then Haeraan goes home. Alynna, Nusmoi, and Arisia hover about.

Orhan 1 Day 4 TE 6065

Imre finally puts up his tower. Much scrolling. Mr. Floaty, Imre's tower is finally done.

We all get a tour of Mr. Floaty.
