Orhan 5 Day 33 TE 6065

We hear that something crashed from space into the Bay of Izar. Then a messenger crab shows up to get us to save the crew of a ship that has crashed in the Bay of Izar.

We teleport to Chelzaria. Haeraan's father says it fell a bit east of Izar's northern point.

We get to Izar and start heading out on an Oathar ship. Sadly, there's a Brotherhood of the Word ship heading out there with about a half hour lead on us.

There's a body in the water, partly burned and drowned, dressed oddly. We arrive and portal our way into the hatch still above the waterline.

It's a terran ship, probably has about a dozen people in it. We start exploring looking for survivors. We find a giant cargo deck with bodies in the water. We enter a sealed corridor and find from the automated message that the hubda levels are approaching hubda hubda. We press on, ignorring what is probably deadly radiation warnings and move on down the corridor. We save a couple of people and teleport them out to the ship.

We come to another sealed door and find a group of people huddled in the room labeled Hazardous Storage. We teleport away several of them and keep the megababe to lead us to the engineering deck where there are more guys. We seal the door behind us and start heading to the engineering deck.

We swim down and hear nosies from up above. Probably the Brotherhood of the Holy Word. We press on and get to the engineering deck where there is one dead and two injured.

We get all the survivors onthe boat. Ilsa gets us to go back to get to the infirmary and get anti-radiation meds. While we get the anti-radiation medicine, the Brotherhood of the Word gets a bunch of bigger crates and things off that they seem to be checking with geiger counters.

We head down to engineering, and start getting some valuable components. Kyrik has to study the engineer and starts taking some small things out. Keyrik keeps engineering and the rest of us head to the bridge. We download some stuff from the computers onto data crystals. Apparently, they were mostly bringing digging equipment to the brotherhood and ground penetrating radar. Also a set of stealth drones for the brotherhood. We grab some data pads and the like. Haeraan gets a sealed metal box with a big lock on it (filled with C-6 and detonators). He also gets a case labeled "small arms". Oathar gets a blaster out of the captain's cabin. We get a bunch of spacesuits.

We decide if we want to try and steal a fusion core, but we eventually don't. We do decide to take the exoskeletal cargo loader. It's charged by the same charger we use for our speedbike.

Oathar arranges dinner with Isla and there's a messenger crab shows up and casts on Oathar, then vanishes. Oathar suddenly realizes he can speak Terran. Woo! He's also incredibly attractive. Woo! Neela clearly approves. They have an intimate dinner. But wait, she's out of control because Oathar's crab also cast Alkar on him. He ends up sleeping her when she attacks him and tears his shirt off. Imre plans blackmail.

We get a political briefing. Feudal universe, with houses controlling planets, an emporer, corporate houses, etc. Tachyon network is controled by the religious technocracy, the Dio Cavaria. The brotherhood is from this sect and their goal is to gain power through technology. This system is a special system technically in the duchy of House Devan, but has an Imperial Edict putting it off limits. Not that anyone pay attention to that. Devon controls the orbital station and does observations. The Dio Cavaria is more or less here without permission. Apparently, the planet was completely sealed until 8 years ago when the northern eye fell. She thinks that house devon is the good guys.
