Nine Mile Run - Pittsburgh, PA

The ongiong redevelopment at Nine Mile Run has transformed a former slag dumping ground into a site for new residential development and community parkland.

Nine Mile Run and Summerset at Frick Park consists of:
- 238 acres
- 713 units (336 single family detached homes, 121 townhouses, 256 apartments)
- Open space associated with new residential development
- Accommodation of a slag pile left over from steel industry
- Revegetation and restoration of a polluted watershed
