Oscar Buneman Awards
A tradition, which began at the two last conferences, will continue.
This is the presentation of the third Oscar Buneman
Award for the most insightful visualization. The
award has two categories: one for the Best Still Image and another
for the Best Animation. The previous award winners are listed
below:
1st Buneman Award Winners
The first Oscar Buneman Award was presented in Santa Barbara,
CA (February 1998) at the 16th
ICNSP.

John Dawson Prize
To commemorate the late John
Dawson a specialized award for pioneering advances to plasma
physics obtained through simulations will be presented for the
first time. This is a historical award for past (pre-ICNSP'03)
achievements.
Deadline for nomination for Buneman
and Dawson Awards is 5pm, EDT, September 7, 2003. Please
submit your nomination ahead of time for thorough consideration.
Nominations and self-nominations for both Buneman Awards must
be sent via mail or electronically to ICNSP
'03 along with visual materials and a brief description.
Official nomination letters for the Dawson Prize (individual
or group award) must be delivered to the Conference
Chairman. The letters have to qualify the scope of work and
its impact.
