MIT NSCS members

Students of MIT who meet the minimum GPA and class standing requirements are eligible for membership in NSCS. Eligible students will be notified by mail from the NSCS national office as sophomores or juniors. Once approved, the students will be inducted into the chapter at the beginning of their junior or senior year.

Although community services are not required, members are strongly encouraged to participate in on and off compus service activitices. Through out the school year, NSCS organizes several one-time service events, as well as long term projects.

Planning for College Success (PFCS) is a special NSCS project that pairs up NSCS members with middle and high school students from the local community. By participating in this mentoring relationship, NSCS members can play an important role helping kids plan for their post-secondary education and see the link between their studies and their future.

For more community service ideas, please visit the MIT Public Services Center.
