Outreach
OEIT makes it a priority to disseminate information about educational technology both within MIT and to the rest of the world. Our staff publishes the Ed Tech Times newsletter, coordinates the Crosstalk series on educational technology, participates as a founding member of the ACCORD group on academic computing support, works closely with other groups within the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education and advocates for faculty desiring to utilize new media for teaching and learning.
In addition, the iCampus Project, a research collaboration between MIT and Microsoft, facilitated the development of a wide range of technologies to support active learning. The iCampus research collaboration has come to a sunset, but the development and dissemination a selected subset of these projects continues.
