Logan International Airport is approximately six miles from MIT. Taxi fare to the campus is about $35-$40, regardless of the number of passengers. Taxi service is the easiest mode of transportation for arriving participants. Using a rental car is discouraged. Massachusetts has an excellent public transportation system known locally as the T – see http://www.mbta.com. One can purchase a week LinkPass for $15 at any in-station fare vending machines or local retail sales terminals.
