groundfish; 2003-2004 school year fishery was lobster
and blue fin tuna
Length of partnership: 3 years and going! (year-round)
Contact between partners: 10-12 exchanges
via email; 4 via phone. The contact with Mr. Wells was through
e-mail and phone. |
Adopt-a-Boat Happenings:
- Captain Bobby Kohl conducted one classroom
visit.
- A video was made combining his visit to the classroom
with a trip on his boat.
- A classroom visit and students went
for visit with Mr. Wells in Sebasco Harbor to view lobstering
firsthand.

It was a great experience, well worth the time and effort
it took. Students became even more engaged in 2003-2004
with this project due to the field trip to Sebasco Harbor
and the
hands-on experiences with lobstering.
