MIT siRNA Website

siRNAs from the NCI

Included in our database are validated sequences from a set that was tested at the NIH. Only those sequences tested and shown to produce knockdown of mRNA by >70% in at least one tested cell line were added to our database.

About the set . . .

This dataset was made available to the MIT/ICBP siRNA Database by Natasha Caplen.

"We analyzed the RNAi induced by a large subset of our siRNA library. The targets of this library include genes with a broad range of known and putative cancer-related functions including classical oncogenes and tumor suppressors, established and putative anti-cancer targets (primary and metastatic) and proteins associated with anti-cancer chemotherapeutic responses."
