MIT/ICBP siRNA Database Rewards Program

iTunes Starbucks

Goal:
To encourage the submissions of validated siRNAs and shRNAs to the MIT/ICBP siRNA Database.

Rewards:
Researchers will receive a $10 giftcard upon acceptance of their first two validated siRNA or shRNA sequences. Validated sequences are those which achieve knockdown of mRNA and/or protein to <20% of their original expression.

Researchers will be notified once their first two qualifying sequences are accepted and given the option of choosing a Starbucks or iTunes giftcard.

Rules:
1) Submissions must be unique - no rewards will be given for sequences already submitted by other researchers.
2) Submitters are automatically entered into the rewards program upon acceptance of their validated sequence.
3) The submitter does not need to be the originator of the siRNA or shRNA sequence. Sequences generated elsewhere and made public either through publication or the NCBI Probe Database, but validated by the researcher at MIT, also qualify.

Eligibility:
All members of ICBP-funded labs at MIT are eligible, including the following labs - Chen, Fraenkel, Gertler, Hynes, Jacks, Lauffenberger, Sabatini, Samson, Sharp, Sorger, Tidor, F. White, J. White, Yaffe.
