Living Group Representatives:

We want your living group to appear in the MIT Yearbook, Technique 2010. Prices are lower this year! Also, the price depends on when you fill out the LG contract, NOT when you choose to have your photoshoot scheduled!

Also, we will be giving REFUNDS to the most creative/interesting LG shots this year! The most creative LG will get a FULL refund, and two runner-ups will get 50% back!

Here's a quick run-through of the process:

1. The Living Group (LG) designates an official representative to serve as the liaison between the LG and Technique. This "LG Rep" should be responsible and responsive to email, and will have full authority regarding all materials submitted to Technique.
2. LG Rep submits the LG Contract web form (URL below) with preferred portrait session times. Technique will contact the LG Rep to finalize the date.
3. Portrait is taken.
4. LG Rep is contacted to choose the official photo (we take about a dozen) and provide the names for the caption.
5. There will be an opportunity to order reprints in the spring.

The pricing and fine print are as follows:

• We'd like to get the photos taken as soon as possible:
  • $150 for contracts filled out on or before Oct. 9th.
  • $175 for contracts filled out on or before Oct. 16th.
  • $200 for contracts filled out on or before Oct. 23rd.
  • No contracts may be filled out after Oct. 29th!
• LG Contracts must be submitted at least a week before the portrait session.
• Payment can be made: a) by check to "MIT Technique" or b) by the green SLP voucher - just circle "Transfer" on the upper right corner. Payment must be submitted in full by the date of the portrait, or we will be forced to extract a $50 late charge.
• We welcome encourage artistic/creative poses and/or locations. As long as they're not dangerous or otherwise stupid.
• Portraits can be taken indoors, or outdoors during the day. If you are planning to use an outdoor or other non-residential space, please state so clearly on the Contract so that we can plan for the appropriate lighting conditions.
• For off-campus locations, the LG must provide transportation for the photographers. (Send a car over to the Student Center or pay for a cab.) Our equipment weighs a ton.
• Please be ready to be photographed within 15 minutes of the appointed time. After that, the photographers have the right to leave and charge a $50 late fee.
• Following the portrait session, Technique will email the LG Rep regarding choosing a picture and IDing people for the caption. If the LG Rep does not respond to our email within a week, we will be forced to choose the LG's official photo and the people shall remain uncredited.
