January, 2003 TREX IV traveled to the Hawaiian islands of Kauai and Hawaii.

Accompanying them were Martin Voelker and15 civil and environmental engineering undergraduate students.

Prof. Harry Hemond Prof. Harry Hemond (Director, Ralph M. Parsons Laboratory) and Kaeo Duarte Kaeo Duarte (Ph.D., ’02), a Parsons alum and now a professor at University of Hawaii, joined them for the research portion of the trip.
