Summary
|
This upgrading project is based on the three principles of empowerment of the community, professionalization of the support agencies (in particular local agencies) and establishment of a partnership between beneficiaries, the government and collaborating NGOs. The project uses a new land management model, the "Community Land Trust" whose main thrust is to make land tenure for the targeted community sustainable and minimize negative effects of the land market on poor residents.
