Locate all Stakeholders in appropriate segments according to their interest and influence. Note that “INTEREST” may be positive or negative: i.e., there can be strong negative interest, as well as strong positive interest. How does one handle situations of strong influence/weak interest or strong interest/weak influence?

Stakeholders in this segment may prove helpful if they become supporters of the project/program.

Stakeholders in this segment must be accommodated.

WEAK INTEREST

Stakeholders in this segment will have little or no affect on the project/program.

Stakeholders in this segment may become dangerous or very supportive to project/program if they become interested.
