A Singer 99 is 20-25lbs of solid iron with long pointy bits of metal sticking off of it. When one gets free of its mounts during shipping (which has now happened to four machines sent to me), it will destroy a case from within. Note that all the holes, splits and cracks were pushed out from the inside. The seller thought he'd packed it very carefully. It's pretty obvious he was mistaken.
