Suhuy pulls a saucer Jean in to keep a physical presence at the power source, leaves a few tendril to keep an eye on him, and steps a few shadows off to the side to be met by the approaching Dworkin.
Dworkin and Jean reach Suhuy. Dworkin looks surprised that Suhuy is not Flora. Suhuy looks for Norton, then Flora, and finds no trace of either of them.
People consider calling in Darkstar.
Cailin and Natasha travel to the Assassins' Guild. Cailin talks to Princess Chandra. It is decided that they will have an informal dinner with various notable dignitaries present.
Ilk contacts Darkstar, and is told about the dinner. Suhuy tells Dworkin, with the "Food good" result. Dworkin is told to put the pulsing Pattern trump away.
Dworkin sticks the trump to his forehead, leaving the face out. This is deemed less than ideal by the others present, so Dworkin pulls in a frog, stuffs the trump in the frog, and sticks the frog on his forehead.
A formal dining hall is set up in Princess Chandra's black zone kingdom. It looks like it has been used frequently. Both gentleman Suhuy and ecto-Ilk are completely visible, just slightly translucent, once they enter the room.
Dinner happens.
Princess Chandra, Cassandra, Lord Talos, Cailin, Natasha, Dworkin, Dworkin's apprentice, Suhuy, Pattern Suhuy, ecto-Ilk, and Shiryu are present.
Jean tells those present about Flora and Norton's disappearance. Lord Talos offers Jean another career path. Dworkin pulls the trump out of the frog. Whenever he points at it, it scuttles away.
Dworkin pulls the frog off his forehead, cries, "Fly free, my friend!", and tosses it into the air. It grows wings, looks surprised, and then starts flapping off.
Lord Talos and Cassandra head off. Natasha is conscripted to go talk with Princess Chandra; everyone else goes a bit off with Darkstar to play with the trump.
Darkstar casually brings the group through two trump gates. This is an interesting place; it seems to be a cave, but the cave-ishness is due to living colors in the air. He stretches, and it rearranges into a living room. It gives Jean the impression of the library in Flora's house in shadow. Something dim and shifty comes out of Darkstar and surrounds the area that would most probably have had Flora in it at some point. He then goes and starts painting that dim and shifty thing poured from himself into reality. Dworkin is fascinated by this, and is sitting there cross-legged staring. Gentleman Suhuy and ecto-Ilk are still that reddish translucence. Shiryu has pulled a bottle out of somewhere and is conversing with a demon trapped within the bottle. He's using the demon's perceptons to track what is going on outside the Assassins' Guild.
People wait and watch.
