Major Events:

Characters represented by players at this run: Cailin, Ilk, Jean, Neville and Osric.

In Cataan

People play with marbles in Cataan. One of the large blobs is de-stapled and marbled. There were three marbles. Now there are five. Marbles start multiplying.

Gilessan(?) is looking around, when his head turns unexpectedly, Beldin throws a Pattern dagger that sticks into something near the group.

Jean tells Shiryu about the Serpent and the Unicorn. Shiryu leaves the place with the marbles and goes to Chaos.

Cailin discusses moving his moat. Ilk points out that attracting the attention of the Serpent and the Unicorn with such an action could pose fatal, and that if their conversation goes poorly, then there won't be any more reason to worry.

Serpent and Unicorn, Continued

Neville finishes repairing his armor. He's tested it, walked the Primal Pattern to recharce himself, teleported out, and put his armor on. Jean fills him in on recent events. Neville has conflicting sets of instructions on how to attune to the Jewel of Judgment from Fiona and Eric's notes. Jean tells Dworkin, who trumps Neville and pastes instructions into Neville's head.

Jean whales Dworkin to the badgerverse to sober up. Dworkin is amused at the bogeyman hiding behind the teeth and playing bouncer.

Neville attunes himself to the Jewel. It takes about half an hour. He shadow-walks to the castle to stash the Jewel in his room somewhere, then trumps to the Courts of Chaos.

Neville, Osric, Shiryu, Princess Chandra, and the Serpent's Apprentice are in Chaos near the Serpent and the Unicorn.

In Cataan

People continue to discuss the problem in Cataan.

House Moonlight

At Cailin's house, there is a mechanical flapping noise. He finds one of his birds at his front door. It is very well travelled. There is a message carved in its back, in a language oft used in an island in a place called Gaunt. The word is, "How?"

Cailin tries to figure out how to get Sparrowhawk back.

Cailin acquires two bibliomantic tokens from the archivist and gives them to the bird.

Cailin examines the bird. There are thirty or forty demons on the inside pulling on levers to make the wings flap and so on. The inside of the bird has been eaten away.

The bird is sent off to find Sparrowhawk again and deliver the tokens.

There is a polite tap on Cailin's door. It's a guy in House Barimen colors. He's looking for the other guy from his house who was here.

The guy that Cailin just admitted is a mage from the former House formerly known as Barimen who doesn't get along with him very well...

Zorro is sent to deal with the newcomer. He does so with style. The newcomer is left in small pieces on the floor.

In Cataan

Beldin has been teaching Saruman how to make a gate. Beldin has been rubbing Saruman's nose in his senority, so Saruman tries to kill Beldin when the instruction is complete. Beldin makes a mockery of the attack, drunken-master style.

Cailin realizes that if they gate the marbles into the midst of the moat, anything escaping through it will be marbled.

Saruman opens a gate. The marbles that Cailin doesn't control fall through the gate. When the marblse fall through the gate, Saruman screams, marbles, and falls through the gate as well. Cailin collects his original marbles and puts them back into a sack.
