Duncan has turned to someone nearby at House Cara and asked, "How do I get in touch with somebody named Ilkandacian?" He is pumped for information, and states that when reading up on the directions for the Pattern-stapler, it mentioned somebody named "Ilkandacian", along with "the next great head". They get overprotective of Ilk, and continue pumping for more information.
Things get out of hand, several Chaosians are Pattern-stapled to things, and he goes storming off.
Shannon, upon hearing about this, decided that she needed to protect the honor of her brother, and challenged everyone within arms reach to a duel. Since she has been drinking the Wixerbrau, it has quickly devolved into a game of tag. She has lost the focus that she is defending Duncan's honor, and is just randomly waving the sword around and trying to stick people. Ocassionally, she asks the for a pause to take another drink.
Beldin has turned to Cailin and asked about the upcoming apocalypse. The lack of souls reaching the Serpent is mentioned, along with a general lack of specific information.
Cailin approaches the apocalypse as a yeti, over-rides his "flee!" impulse, changes into a human, and continues. Beldin whimpers a lot. Cailin tries to explain why he isn't drunk to his grandmother. Eventually, a tent is acquired by Princess Chandra and Beldin is shoved inside. Beldin picks up a pen and writes, "The suggestion is to get the Unicorn to prove to the Serpent that he is not stealing the dead souls by freeing them so that they can go to the Serpent."
Princess Chandra grabs the piece of paper, takes it to Osric, and says, "My king... with your permission, I would like to show this suggestion to our august visitors." Osric is reluctant -- getting the Unicorn out of Chaos might help avert the apocalypse, but they might be doing something useful.
Princess Chandra sticks the piece of paper on the Unicorn's horn and smacks the Unicorn on the side of the head with a piece of Serpent-flesh. The Unicorn is indignant, but snorts, stamps, and goes off.
Cailin yetis off, carrying the tent and Beldin with him to House Moonlight. Beldin joins Ferethyn in staring at the blobs.
King Osric talks with the Serpent's Apprentice about acquiring assistance from the Serpent. The Serpent's Apprentice fails to be helpful, and states that the Serpent's help would be highly destructive.
Cailin talks to people in new Cataan.
Cailin will remove Jean from new Cataan, and in the process possibly remove their only link to that place.
"I think that perhaps it is time to introduce the King of Amber to his former sword... What do you think, Guido?"
Cailin loads his apprentice into a tent and runs towards the Serpent. King Osric indicates that King Eric the Second is in Amber. Cailin yetis out of Chaos, gates just short of Arden, and prepares to yeti in. Beldin suggests trumping in. Cailin trumps into the courtyard and sprouts crossbow bolts among other things.
Neville hears the alarms go off, acquires his steward (Jean), and heads towards the courtyard.
Cailin sprints up the wall and outside the courtyard and yells, "It's Cailin of House Moonlight! Don't shoot me!"
The alarms go off, again. Neville arrives as Beldin starts gasping and leaking out his life force.
Neville tries to determine what, if anything, he knows about healing. Jean whips out the wood glue and duct tape and starts patching holes, hopefully without stopping up any holes that are supposed to be there.
Cailin starts pulling out arrows; Jean slathers wood glue and duct tape over the holes once they start spurting.
Jean fetches orange juice and cookies for Beldin.
Beldin lets out a blood curse against "the enemies of Amber", and waits for the orange juice and cookies to arrive.
[Does Amber have any enemies currently? Did Beldin just blood-curse Oberon?]
