Pyramid with an inactive reality seed. Guy poking at the reality seed with Logrus; magical protections raised. Looks like he was trained by Suhuy in the Logrus. Ilk watches him, and feeds info to the Dancers Guild.
Definitely Chaosian. Probably not an Old Lord, definitely not a Realms Lord. Member of a minor house; has been used in the past by Suhuy to investigate various matters.
Ilk waits for a pause in the guy's work, then creates a voder and clears his throat.
The guy spins and sets up his defenses. Ilk introduces himself. The guy introduces himself as Etienne. He hasn't heard of the Savior of Chaos, and asks if Ilk will wait for confirmation.
Suhuy, in Wixer, is aware that there is an urgent message for him in his Ways. Ilk affirms his own identity.
Ilk and Etienne chat. He's investigating the seeds on Suhuy's request. This is the second one that he has studied; Suhuy took the first and wandered off, muttering something about a drink.
Ilk goes through Jean and leaves a message for (the real) Suhuy, mentioning the encounter and asking for confirmation.
[3-5 turnings later, a confirmation comes back for his story]
Ilk looks into the Logrus imports in our local piece of fruit. There are a number of them in various Houses' dungeons. Ilk studies them, looking for a common mold. Close to the same age, close to the same makeup/flavor, no progenitor uniquism.
Ilk goes to the piece of fruit where Suhuy is fixing the Logrus and looks for pyramids.
Humaniforms marching out of one of them, and a dark semi-fluid pouring out of the other.
The pyramids were periodically active, according to most of the witnesses. The witnesses questioned about the gooey pyramid have their brains turn off.
Jeans are brought in to keep an eye on the pyramids.
Ilk spends a while filling in the local Andron (Realms Master) on the pyramids, given that there are two of them in his piece of fruit.
Ilk tries to bring some of the Logrus imports to Garnath, but they burst into flames upoon contact with Amber and die when they lose their connection to the Logrus.
Ilk brings in a farmer from the ooze pyramid. Cagliostro downloads his memory -- nothing interesting. Ilk questions him, and his brain turns off on the word "ooze". Cagliostro studies him. The brain turns back on. "Slime" does the same thing. Cagliostro notices large temporal gaps in his memory. And in all of the gaps, the last thing that he does is look at the pyramid. Cagliostro tries flash-cards, and a card of a pyramid causes the guy's brain to shut off... before the card is visible.
Ilk asks Cagliostro about interrogating beings that are allergic to this region of reality.
Cagliostro drops a note into the bottle asking for a lift back to the castle. He is pulled into the bottle, and reappears in his castle. Acquires status updates.
Ilk brings one of the Logrus imports from his native reality to Cagliostro's castle. The import is told (by Cagliostro) that he is the most powerful. Cagliostro dumps his memories. Nothing terribly useful or new; his trip on the Logrus is a blank. The guy's earliest memory is marching out of a pyramid, into a holding chamber. Cagliostro asks to keep the guy; Ilk cautions him but doesn't stop him.
Ilk brings in a Logrus import from a dungeon in Chaos. The memories go back exactly as far, but after the gap, he arrived (here), and followed the dictates of a big shadowy figure, then in Helgram, then outside Helgram, then captured an in a dungeon.
Cagliostro decides to keep this one as well.
The first import knows that others of his kind have left the third pen... they held competitions and the best left. Not in recent history.
