Others' Notes

Checking Kraken and Wyrms for Damage

Kintani heads off across the Sea of Chance to check promontories. The Dragon Council place is fine, and Kintani warns the Wyrm there and tells him to alert a Jean on his back in case of danger.

Kintani heads to the gold place. The kraken there is in bad shape - it has no fronds, only stem.

Kintani heads to the egg place. It's held up by a sleeping Wyrm. The Wyrm refuses to wake. Another dragon is informed that Kintani is the head of the Dragon Council, and leads him off to find a nearby kraken to try to wake the wyrm.

Kintani is led to a bare promontory inhabited by a solitary grey giant. The giant claims that his home was destroyed by a donkey -- he only survived by hanging off the side of the promontory by his fingers. He states that his plant is fine. The donkey is blamed on Sir Erik.

Jean, regarding "I think that it's more of a curse than a pet"

Princess Chandra returns to the Serpent's Antechamber and reports that the atoll is a mess. All of the Wyrms there are dead and the kraken are torn to bits. Ilk mentions his cache of reality seeds, and then pulls one in through the Logrus. The Logrus complains, and tells Ilk that doing that again would be completely unacceptable.

Sigh

Cagliostro is informed that their prisoners had escaped -- the "reformed" folks who were guarding them had failed to post a guard.

Introducing Atheas

Atheas's warfare goes off, and he draws his sword and tells the least stupid of his companions to do the same. People complain briefly, and then eleven people with conventional-looking arms and armor crest a nearby hill. Atheas's companions discuss weapons for a while. The redhead states that he doesn't have any actual weapons. The guy with a piece of twisty black metal waves it at the enemy, shouting, "Eat hot lead, you escapees from a renfest!" Nothing happens. Atheas mocks him. It takes 30 or 40 minutes for Atheas and the other one with a sword to kill the enemy.

The other one with a sword claims that this was only 11 of the 30-odd prisoners.

Toram's Signature, Yet Again

Cailin and Natasha get a lift to Cobalt from Titania. They chat with various people.

Cailin gives Natasha a lift to people to deal with the escapees. They chat with Atheas and friends.

Atheas claims to possibly be of royal blood and bosses lots of people around, who seem to be mostly amused. Cailin finds someone with even less warfare than himself.

Atheas, Natasha, and put on armor, head to the enemy encampment, and take them down. The prisoners are gated to the castle dungeons.

Atheas, Natasha, and Cailin, along with a few others, trump to (?) and join the battle.

Benedict's forces are fighting Erica's forces. Erica is quite good. Cagliostro is present, but is mostly keeping his head down. Erica has some kind of a shield around her castle; nothing can penetrate it.

Cailin notices that Toram's signature is all over that castle. He turns into a yeti, grabs Absolom, and flees.

Princess Chandra Supports the Atoll by Growing a Giant Kraken

Kintani arrives at the atoll. Princess Chandra is there, holding something. She has him follow him into the Sea. Kintani notices that the Sea seems to be leaving her alone. She goes into the center of the atoll, releases the thing, and does something with Serpent-power. It grows quickly into a giant kraken, so large that each of the islands in the atoll is supported by a separate branch.

Princess Chandra climbs onto Kintani's back and naps while he swims. She warns him to go far away or onto the promontory. He climbs up with the eggs, and the ground starts to shake.

Kintani tries to get useful information from the Dragon Council regarding making a pronouncement on their identities. The wyrm and the useful dragon are in favor; the two surviving council members want to debate first.

After a while, the shaking stops and a Serpent manifests in the sky and makes a pronouncement. "What is a Jean." Jean is determined to be the person who will be told if anything is amiss, and to tell him stories to keep him awake.

Princess Chandra emerges, goes over to Kintani, and says, "Wow, was he asleep."

Princess Chandra states that she and her brother should be left out of this list of Council members announced to the dragons.

Fighting Erica (?) in the Fractal Realms

Cagliostro, Jean, Natasha, and ? discuss the tactical situation. Jean and Ilk discuss matters in the tree.

Ecto-Suhuy -- "Why import Mecha-Jean when I can just draw something locally?"

Jean -- "Cause I like blowing stuff up?"

Mecha-Jean is determined to be in the Paths of the Dead. Ecto-Ilk and Ecto-Suhuy fish to the Paths of the Dead and discuss moving Mecha-Jean across the Sea of Chance.

They discuss forms of transport, and decide on trump. Jean talks to Janus, who decides that the best place to acquire an 800 foot tall variable-Pattern mech is directly over the city and climbs into a catapult.

Ecto-Ilk trumps Janus. "No, not yet!"

Mecha-Jean's variable Pattern blasts aren't effecting the shield, but his landing upon the shield causes the edge of the city to collapse downward about fifty feet.

Mecha-Jean tries to lift the edge of the shield, and determines that it is sphereical. He picks it up and punts it out of the fractal realm. He follows; Janus, ecto-Ilk, and ecto-Suhuy follow.

People fool around with the sphere for a while.

Amaranth is trumped in to drain power from the shield into mecha-Jean's batteries.

There is a rumbling, and after a few minutes the sphere, with Jean, is flung upwards and out of the realm. Janus follows; Ecto-Ilk and Ecto-Suhuy study the hole, which is slowly repairing itself.

Jean plays soccer with the sphere.

Elsewhere
