Bar Fight

Cailin and Cassandra notice that when someone has been lying dead on the ground for some time, the corpse seems to slide away. Cassandra can tell that bugs are carrying the corpses away.

After a while, a big shaggy man wearing a medallion walks in. He taps fighting people on their shoulders and gestures at the door. The locals look up at the man and leave the bar. The White Company soldiers that attack him are hoisted into mid-air, held for a bit, then placed back on the ground. Mugs bashed on him break to little effect; blades produce wounds that heal quickly.

Cassandra kicks her last opponent away and calls her Company out of the fight. They find few unbroken mugs remaining; Cailin passes some down from the ceiling for them.

Cassandra is approached by the [What happened here?]

On his way out, the lawman calls Cailin coward for hiding in the rafters. Cailin transforms into a massive, feathered creature in response. "Coward?"

"Ah. Nobody here was in your class. I understand."

They leave the bar, to see the two full moons rise over the horizon and hear a howl in the distance. Cailin can see a large magical blot approaching rapidly and warns the others; Cassandra starts shadow-shifting the group out. The blot continues its approach. Cassandra shifts a wall in behind them; Cailin erects a magical barrier, and can feel fourteen or fifteen creatures impact upon it. Cassandra can now see them; they look like mangy wolves or large dogs. She tries to shift them out, with some difficulty.

Jean notices a group of people approaching, led by someone familiar-looking. It's Cassandra. There's a group of wolves following them.

Cassandra notices a familiar-looking demon waving at them. She responds, and they chat.

Cassandra - "Hostiles behind us."
Jean - "What's a hostile?"
Cassandra - "The things behind us."
Jean - "Like a dog, then? Hi, Hostiles!"
Cassandra - "Not friendly."
Jean - "Ohhhh"

Cassandra notices that the bunny tracks Jean is following are quite large - the bunny would be larger than a person.

Cailin extends his barrier to the sides of the wolves, then smacks them with it. They withdraw to regroup.

The guys decide that they'd rather hunt the Easter Bunny than go drinking.

Boba Frog

Jean - "The Easter Bunny?"
Norton - "Hops around leaves chocolate for kids?"
Jean - "No - that's a common myth."

Jean resolves to visit Norton's shadow on the bunny's special day. Norton tells Jean that you can dye eggs to attract the Easter Bunny. Jean with Cassandra asks about eggs, and is given a jar of pickled eggs by a member of White Company.

Jean brings Norton to House Cara. Ilk chats with them; the situation is explained to Norton and mecha-Jean is invited on the quest.

As they discuss, Jean notices someone who looks sorta like Silver Lyra approaching them. She flows invisible just before she hits line of sight of Norton.

Norton - "Can I touch you?"
Jean - "No!"
Norton - "I'll make you a toy."
Jean - "No!"

Jean asks Dworkin for a frog so Norton can have a scout. Dworkin reaches through a trump to his safe, opens the safe, pulls out a frog, replaces the Jewel of Judgment, and closes the safe again. Dworkin pulls out another trump, trumps Norton, and throws the frog through the contact.

[A Trump-by Frogging!]

Norton examines the frog briefly, and determines that Dworkin wants the frog back. He then folds his previous device around the frog into a suit of powered armor and hands the frog a tiny katana. The frog bounces around, playing with the armor.

[It's Boba Frog!]

Norton builds some decoys to draw fire away from the real scout.

A Jean is sent to go fetch Neville and the trump.

Norton sets a suit of Frogallorian Pattern-armor around him. He modifies it into a salamander-ish form after Ilk warns him of the dangers inherent in taking on a form that is familiar to Dworkin.

[Boy, wait until they see you back on Frogallor]
[Fly One? No, Lily Pad One]
[There's a light side, a dark side, and a green side!]

Norton gives Jean a big jar of bunny pheromones.

[Yoda didn't die - he's hiding in R2-D2]

White Company Hunts the Easter Bunny

Cailin asks Cassandra if she could put a cliff to their side. They leave Jean and the troops and head out. When they arrive, there are Sith charging them with lit sabers. Cassandra pulls her saber and blaster and pushes Cailin behind her.

The wolves have turned and charged the Sith. Each time a Sith chops a wolf in half, two wolves regrow from the pieces.

Cassandra discusses the Sith's status as members of the Assassins' Guild with her bodyguards. They leave, calling out, "Think of this as a training exercise" to the surviving Sith.

They rejoin the others, who are standing around a large hole in the ground. They descend. A sound like frying bacon crackles by, and the floor falls out from beneath them. They fall a short distance, and are surrounded by bugs. White Company kills the bugs.

Jean pokes at boxes and Cailin suggests one that might hurt them. A few bugs have a violent epileptic fit. Jean ramps up the power, then stops when the ceiling threatens to fall on them. Cailin conjures lighting. They can see large worker bugs swarming around them. Cailin levitates the group out onto the other side of the hole.

They hear massive hops coming from down the corridor. Cassandra's bodyguards push her behind them. Jean readies the anti-tank spell.

The bunny stops and blinks at them. It's about fifteen feet away from them. It has bright, Easter-egg eyes, many-colored fur, and huge, sharp fangs dripping ichor.

Jean asks Flora if it is the Easter Bunny. Jean asks the [?]

Jean throws the anti-tank spell at one of the bunny's leg. The leg and part of the cavern collapses, and out come some commando-bugs, firing at the bunny. Cassandra orders White Company out of the way.

The bunny's fur seems to be shedding the fire from the power weapons that the bugs are discharging at it, but changing colors as it does so. Cassandra takes a shot at it with her blaster, and a huge bolt of power emerges and chars the bunny's shoulder. The warrior bugs concentrate their firepower on the shoulder deflector shields.

[More horrible Star Wars puns occur]

Cailin mind-reams the bunny. This bunny is one of the younger bunnies. It fits Jean's description - they go around and steal things and are generally nasty. There is a red-headed Amberite in its memory somewhere. Cailin is shocked, and asks Jean where he got that description of the bunny and the Amberite.

Cassandra fires between the bunny's eyes, and the shot ricochets onto the other shoulder. Jean starts egging the bunny. The bunny gets very upset.

One of Cassandra's bodyguards places a hand on her shoulder and gates her out. One of the other visible bodyguards moves between Cailin and the bunny.

Jean asks Cailin for a fish. Cailin conjures two fish. Jean throws them one at a time at the bunny, and results in two fish side by side in the splintered bone between the bunny's eyes. Jean asks Cailin for more fish. One of Cassandra's bodyguards places a hand on Cailin's shoulder and hands Jean a box of throwing knives. Jean complains about the lack of fins and curve, so the assassin modifies all sixty knives to suit Jean's taste. Jean spends seven minutes throwing knives at the bunny. Both eyes have been put out, and the face is covered with knives.

The bugs have moved in and are stabbing at the bunny. Several members of White Company have joined them. Jean asks one of the members of White Company for one of the bunny's feet. Three of them cut a foot off and drag it over. Jean and Cailin strap the foot to Jean's back.

The warrior bugs seem to be looking warily at them, but not attacking. Jean goes over to talk with the bugs. "Hi, bugs!" No useful response. Cailin walks over, places a hand on one of the warriors, and makes mental contact with a brain. Cailin negotiates an alliance against the bunnies.

A discussion occurs between Jean in many places, Norton, Ilk, Cassandra, and Cailin. Bunny-hunting and Helgram-elder-hunting is discussed.
