Biopic

A biopic is a filmic biography; it tells the story of a real individual. In the case of scientific biopics, the film dramatizes a particular scientist’s research process, generally leading to the point of an important scientific discovery. The biopic often contains aspects of what would otherwise be understood as “research” and “documentary” film contained within it.
