Many of the ethical dilemmas inherent in the work of scientists are depicted in a range of fiction films. In fact, some of the earliest silent fiction films dealt with the work of real or imagined scientists. With an emphasis on the “bad scientist,” they focus on the social and ethical issues inherent in the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge.
