The third test was a wheel with eight spokes, shown in Figure 16-7. Depending on the order in which the successively displaced spokes are shown in a movie, as indicated on the right side the figure, the wheel, by virtue of the proximity principle, is seen as rotating clockwise (C sequence) or counterclockwise (CC sequence). Under interocular presentation conditions, the successive displacements are presented interocularly. When the C sequence is used under interocular presentation conditions, integrators see clockwise motion and non-integrates see counterclockwise rotation. Using these tests we obtained a percent integration score for each subject.
