    The MIT BE-BMES Student Chapter presents
    Pre-med advising event: A merge of clinical practice and research

    This event is focused on pre-medical advising and a discussion of the clinical practice and research interface. We will begin at 7:00pm with a networking dinner followed by welcoming remarks. Dr. Richard Lee will give a seminar titled "Regenerating Heart Cells". Dr. Lee will then open up the floor to discussion and questions.

    WANTED: Writers and Editors for the May 2009 edition!



    We would like to bring back the BioTECH newsletter, published 1-2 times a semester, that highlights exciting developments and opportunities in biological/ biomedical engineering on campus, at other academic institutions, and in industry.

    Editing Board:
    • Managing editor - oversees all work, recruits writers, helps devise ideas for articles
    •  Assistant editor - proofreading/copy-editing, helps managing editor
    •  Layout editor - designs and formats article submissions into newsletter
    •  Operations editor - handles production, publicity, etc.

    Article Categories/Ideas:

    • Senior post-graduation plans (interviews)
    •  Student spotlight (research, projects)
    •  Professor spotlight
    •  Opinion
    •  Industry (latest news and developments)
