Scenario 4: SUSPICION

Introduction : Tell other people : Confront Molly

You chose: Confront Molly, with others who have observed suspicious behavior, and talk to her about it.

One of the other people with you tells Molly, "We know you have been stealing credit card numbers.   She (pointing to you) even saw you in Alex's room when you stole his wallet.   You have to give the money back, or we'll go to the police."   She reacts with fury.   She screams, "You just don't like me, and that's why you are trying to pin this on me!"   You are so surprised that you don't know what to say and leave.

You can...

Stay out of it

Do nothing further.   Resolving this is hopeless.

Get the others to vote

Round up the other two witnesses and all go to tell the Campus Police what you know.

Ask to talk

Go alone the next day to see Molly and say, "I'm sorry if we seemed to be making accusations.   But you need to realize that there is some evidence against you.   If you are by any chance responsible for these thefts, I urge you to think about returning the money before criminal charges are brought."
