Our ActivitiesAnother important tenet of EdDI work is the area of outreach. Due to the international development exposure that many of the founders of EdDI has had, EdDI would like to introduce international development, a seemingly obscure and foreign field of work, to high school students through interactive activities. To facilitate this exchange, EdDI would be hosting an International Development Workshop Day in the Spring 2010 semester, inviting local-area high school students to participate and learn more about the field of international development. Furthermore, EdDI seeks to invite speakers (eg. prominent individuals working in international development, students with outstanding projects) to provide lecture series at MIT for undergraduates during both school terms. We are also seeking input and expanding our list of activities! If you are interested in becoming part of EdDI, please contact us! |
