A big day!

The MIT CS-visit-day was held for the first time on Friday, January 16. A total of 6 schools came out to the MIT campus, and another school skyped in. Activities for the day included lab tours and lab demos, discussion sessions, a Q&A panel composed of computer science researchers, tours of the Cambridge Google office, talks by an EdTech Entrepeneur and a Google engineer, and 3D printing tutorials. The event was run by MIT student and staff volunteers, in cooperation with the Cambridge Google office.

Google formed the Anita Borg Scholars Community to help promote diversity in computer science. This event was part of a global network of events in honor of Anita Borg's birthday.
