Carbohydrate Binding Protein Database (CBP DB)

The CBP DB is a specialized database containing genomics, proteomics and glycomics related information of all the Carbohydrate Binding Proteins (Lectins). Each CBP is classified based on the family ( Galectin, Siglec, etc.), type ( Galectin-1, Galectin-4, etc. ) and species it was derived from. Each CBP entry will also contain links to public databases such as Genbank, SwissProt, PDB, PubMed and the Consortium's Central DB (for those CBPs studied in detail by the Consortium).

Kurt Drickamer is developing a LECTIN DATABASE encompassing 8 CBP families. This database forms the seed for the CBP DB. Entries from Dr. Drickammer's LECTIN DATABASE have been incorporated using the molecule page layout in a test CBP database .

Core B is developing a user-friendly interface to CBP DB with multiple information tabs for each CBP. Click HERE for a sample layout of a CBP molecule page.

CORE B IS CURRENTLY DEVELOPING THIS DATABASE. PLEASE VISIT LATER TO SEE THE FIRST RELEASE.
