Coltrane - Proto 0

Motivation: Brubeck, and our beta testing program, proved instrumental in showing us not only how Origin might be used by customers, but what was needed to produce a professional-grade power tool. Against the advice of some of our more anxious investors, we decided to pursue another ground-up redesign, addressing what we saw as the key issues with Brubeck. The timetable for the Coltrane prototype was ambitiously set at just 9 months, aligning with our public presale launch in August of 2016 (see video above!)

[Feb 2016] The new architecture replaced Brubeck's thin display housing with a large "tower" extrusion, and would fit an onboard computer and power supply. The Coltrane P0 assembly.

And the first thing we ever cut with it. Components of the Z axis.
