Research summary:
I apply 3D models to study nuclear dynamics as tumor cells cross the endothelium during metastasis. Currently, I am investigating how transendothelial migration affects tumor cell gene expression and how this may promote downstream tumor colonization. Additionally, by applying new, label-free optical approaches, I am studying how the event of crossing the endothelium as well as chemotherapy treatment affects cellular and nuclear stiffness.
