In which our heroes ...
Orhan 2 Day 3 TE 6062
We return to Selkai after our time with the Storm Wizard. We hold a council
of war. We decide that perhaps our biggest problem is, as usual the loremasters,
so we head to Gireg Jan to talk to him.
The loremasters are apparently paralyzed by their perceptions of past
failures. Especially the failure of the crowns. We ask how we could help
reverse the profile and Gireg Jan suggests one good thing we could do
is go to Karalon and politic for a year.
We interrogate him more and more about Andraax and how much trouble we
could get into for following our "instructions".
"What are you worried about, they didn't even mindwipe Elor!"
Imre retreats into a vast metaphor with weeds and plants and gardeners.
Gireg Jan knows that there are a number of obscure prophesies about the
orders being reformed first before the emporer came back. Now it makes
total sense to him that we were chosen by Andraax. Wow, Gireg Jan is cooler
than we even thought.
He passes on the rumor that the Order of the Eye has been infiltrating
Sel-Kai, but it's only vague whispers at the moment and no other details.
He will suggest in his next messages to the Loremaster Council that Imre
and I be appointed Loremasters in Residence in Santa Vallandra, and official
advisors to the mayor.
Wow, that worked out so well.
Orhan 2 Day 4 TE 6062
Kyrik finds one guy in the Santa Vallandra army, an above average guy,
a senior seargent type, who is in fact one of the Order of the Sword.
His name is Alain. Kyrik tells him he's heard good reports about him and
will be bringing him to Sel-kai for special training. Haeraan determines
he's a thrid level fighter. We start him in war college training via our
empire building funds.
Imre gets a couple of hits off of his ring in Selkai, but can't actually
identify anyone.
Haeraan notices one guy who sets off his ring in a residential area.
Haeraan Mind Stores him so he can find him again later. He mind types
the guy and discovers that he's a 2nd professional mixed man. He decides
not to leap upon him as yet.
We experiment with Kyrik's sword a bit and find that non-bloodline people
can attune his sword and get level one powers and the sword glows when
Kyrik walks by, so it seems likely not so many people in Ardania are actually
in the order.
