In which our heroes ...
Orhan 3 Day 15 TE 6063
Next time, fussing!
We loot! Don't forget the purification chamber in the cleric's pentagon.
We get 600 gp of gems, and ruined vestments worh 100g. The banquet hall
has a large silverware set worth 275g.
The temple of Zodor has a skeleton of a priest with a laen medallion and
two rings. It's the body of the lord cleric. Ring of Constant True Aura.
Laen medallion (200g) is just a holy symbol of no power. Other ring is
a x3 Channeling multiplier. We bury the guy and his laen holy symbol.
White allow wire (for chainmail) in the smithy, etc.
We get a ring of levitation. and a ring of Spell Shield True 3/day.
Runepaper of Phantasm V.
Orhan 3 Day 20 TE 6063
We hang around for a week to get some good teleport mojo here.
Orhan 3 Day 21 TE 6063
We search for local treasure map areas. There's a place in the north where
the Iron Wind lives.
Yup, we find a gather of eight guys, humanoid figures standing around
in an octagon. They're dressed against the weather. In the middle of the
octagon is a small pile of what looks like snow, but is actually something
buried under snow. Oather determines that they are probably wizardy locals,
or maybe animists or something earthy like that. There's a mound of snow
with something underneath it. They are clearly doing a sumoning ritual.
We just teleport down there and see what's up.
They are doing a ritual, and do not want our interference. It's some sort
of summoning ritual. We back off to watch. Sadly, watching requires observation
rolls. Rolls sometimes leads to 66's. Blinky leads to their cancelling
their ritual and running away in terror.
We follow their tracks. Invisibly. Stalking them through the tundra. When
we finally track them down, we sen din Imre as our ambassador.
It's pretty clear they think he is an agent of death come among them.
While true, this is not at all comforting.
It turns out we're from the city of the cursed. But of course, we convince
one of them that we cleansed the city and then they start fighting among
themselves.
They eventually decide that they will trust us if we rescue their children
from the Iron Wind.
We try to figure out where they were taken and decide it was probably
to the fortress of the white dragon lord. Sigh.
Yup, we get there and find that this is the place where the orb of the
unlife was. Or rather, still is, since it's there and it's high priest
can be omnipotent at will.
We wonder if we should storm the place after Kyrik is feeling a little
better.
Next time, we'll teleport in!
