A nine-year journey begins as the MIT Symphony Orchestra starts a complete cycle of Beethoven symphonies. 

Along with the symphony, the orchestra will examine both the artists that influenced Beethoven, 

and how composers after him found their way in his mighty shadow. 

 

Repertoire: 

Händel’s “The Arrival of theQueen of Sheba” from Solomon 

Mahler: Adagietto from Symphony no. 5 

Rossini’s William Tell Overture 

Beethoven: Symphony no. 1
