Haverford Pedestrian Entrance![]() |
The entrance off of Haverford St. crosses over the swale, through a filter of birch trees and over a hill before reaching the golf course. (Plan) The view is increased by looking out over the park making the space seem larger than it actually is - creating more space. A large wall slices into the hillside revealing its topography. |
11th hole in the Retention Basin
|
Playing the sunken holes in the retention basin can be very wet. The path above the retention basin becomes a gallry space for passerbyes. The vegetation behind the path blocks the view to the parking lot. (Plan) The parking lot is graded so that the runoff travels underneath the berm and thru a small slit in the cor-ten steel producing a small waterfall that also helps stain the steel. |
