About Me

Matt Zedler

"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." -T. Roosevelt

My name is Matt Zedler, and I am an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I will hopefully graduate in 2007 with a degree in Course 2, or mechanical engineering. Some of my other academic interests include Spanish and economics, and I am planning on getting a minor or double major in either or both of the subjects.

While here, I also am planning on getting very involved with community service. My goal right now is to complete at least one community service project at MIT every weekend that I am on campus. The myriad student groups, such as SAVE, Habitat, and Communitech, should make this an easier task to complete than it may seem.

I am originally from Richmond, Virginia. I have traveled abroad to Mexico and England, but I would still love to visit many new places, especially Spain and Latin America. My family and friends are the most important people in my life, especially my girlfriend who goes to Virginia Tech. To see pictures of these people and videos of my life at MIT, please visit my personal webspace.

One of my favorite activities is listening to rock and alternative music. I especially enjoy bands like Dave Matthews Band, Phish, and Pearl Jam. If you are interested in seeing what live shows I own, please visit my db.etree.org show list.
