The actual order of this site is chronically arranged in reverse order. More recent research and thoughts are located on the personal notes page, not here. So if information is what you are looking for, go there instead.

What's New1

Well today, I am doing my best to put this site together and put it up on the web. If you're reading this, obviously I succeeded a little. Oh yeam the What's New section will probably temprarily serve as my notes section. Later I'll try to make another page for it.

What's New 2

Ok so now research has begun. My assignment is to research as much as i can about the geological factors that may affect us. So far as my preliminary research goes I think I have discovered a few things: 1. There are many geological features in the Galapagos. 2. There are no actively exploding volcanoes on our islands. 3. Theses are difficult to read. Also found out that the Galapagos rifts are not actually in the Archipelago. Also, there is very interesting life in the rifts, that rely heavily on geothermic warmth and the sulfur cycles. However, again, the rifts are not near our islands.

What's New 3

I would like to iterate a new revelation which I probably should have noticed and mentioned earlier. When I said the Galapagos rifts are not actually in the Archipelago, that may not be entirely accurate. Recently, withered, submerged remains of islands were discovered east of the Galapagos. The submerged remains are actually older Galapagos islands. Also the Galapagos rift stretches from 90 degrees W to 86 degrees W. Foolishly, I overlooked this fact, because a majority of the groundbreaking original deep sea rift exploration of the Galapagos Rifts (e.g. the Rose Bed) was done at 90 degrees W, quite a distance from the islands. However the rift itself extends toward the islands, eventually getting shallower as it approaches the islands.
