Our Scale model is a 12" x 12" museum room. The theme is communication and there are multiple paintings with captions and backlights on the walls showing various communication machines. There are also two pedestals in the room: one for a covered pigeon post and another for the telegraph machine which is uncovered and the players can interact with. The other puzzle components, the telephone and the alarm, were both mounted on opposite walls. The main two colors used in the room were maroon and cream, which was a perfect combination fitting the museum theme. A picture of light hardwood floor was also printed on glossy paper to complete the museum theme. Finally, two doors were made from wood and stained in order to show the two separate outcome of the puzzle. If the players succeeded, they would go to the next room. If not, they would get called to the security room which was marked on the other door.
