User Testing

Playing the Game

This video shows a team going through the entire process of getting an egg to placing it in the nest. In this game there were five players. It took about a minute to get a single egg into the nest. However, changing the number of tentacles can adjust the amount of time it takes ot get an egg to the top.
Overall, users seemed to enjoy the game. However, there were some aspects that they found a bit frustrating.

Communication

One issue that came up during user testing is that players did not communicate with each other as much as was expected. There could have been a variety of factors to do this, including that the room was loud and that the teams playing the game did not know each other.
An unexpected problem with the structure itself is that it is difficult to hear the person standing across from you, making communication more difficult than expected.

Picking Up Eggs

The part of the game that consistently took the longest was getting an egg to connect to the electromagnet. This was frustrating to users because it wasn't that they were doing anything wrong, just that the magnet would not connect to the egg correctly. Solutions to this problem are further explored in the Next Steps page.
