Fantastic Plastic Machine is the name under which DJ Tomoyuki Tanaka releases. His music mixes the club/dance mentality with lounge music, bossa nova, french pop, and soft rock. His immense talent in creating groovy tracks led to the distribution of his album state-side via the Emperor Norton record label.

Drawing heavily on the style of punk-legends the Ramones (with a bit more punk-pop sound), sisters Atsuko and Naoko Yamano and Michie Nakatani have been making waves in the music world since 1982. Long after attaining a cult following in American punk circles, the band played shows with Nirvana in the early 90's bringing them international recognition. They were most recently featured on the ultra-hip "Powerpuff Girls Soundtrack" released internationally.
