Recommendations:
You must provide 3 recommendations from people capable of judging your professional and/or academic promise (i.e. supervisor, professor).

Because our admissions committee focuses on work experience, we urge applicants to provide two recommendations from job-related supervisors and one from a professor.

Recommenders must complete an MLOG-specific evaluation form that can be downloaded from the Graduate Admissions Website. If you apply online, your recommenders also have the option of completing and submitting this form electronically.  We do not want a simple letter from them.

If your recommenders choose not to complete the form electronically, each recommendation should be sealed in its own envelope and submitted with your completed application. If an evaluator is mailing the recommendation separately, have him/her send it to MLOG Admissions (address provided above in Transcript section).

Résumé:
Relevant work experience weighs heavily in MLOG admissions decisions. Therefore, we require every applicant to supply us with a current résumé.  The résumé should be in the standard format including academic degree information with GPA information following each.

Statement of objectives:
You will complete the statement of interest as part of your MIT Graduate Admission Form. The statement should describe why you are interested in the MLOG program, and how it fits into your future career plans. The statement should be no longer than 500 words.

Essay Questions:
In addition to the statement of interest, MLOG also requires two additional essays to be sent in with your transcript and resume. The essays should be no longer than 500 words each. Essay questions provided below:
