While class profiles change from year to year, the current class averages are representative.

The MLOG class of 2010 consists of 33 students (selected from over 200 applicants) from 12 countries and 5 continents. Countries of origin for the incoming class include: Canada, Colombia, Ghana, India, Korea, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. 61% of the incoming students are US Citizens or permanent residents, 39% are international students. The average age of the incoming class is 29 years, 27% are female, and the class brings with it an average of nearly 7 years of work experience. 35% of the class comes to the program with an advanced degree.

The new students are coming to MIT from companies that include Accenture, Deloitte, Ford, Intel, Sanyo, Union Pacific, Bank of America, Crate & Barrel and Kraft Foods and more. At these companies, members of the MLOG class of 2010 held positions such as global supply chain planner, senior sales manager, operations manager, consultant, engineer, director, general manager and president.

Students who took the GMAT scored between 600 and 760 with a median of 710. Those who opted to take the GRE had a median score of 590 for the verbal component and a median score of 785 on the quantitative component.

Approximately half of the students obtained their initial university degree in engineering; the other half in business, economics, art history, international studies, etc.
