AGREA Renewable Energy Research

Our most recent research in renewables focuses on the avoided emissions attributable to wind and solar generation, and by extension biomass and energy efficiency.

Avoided Emisssions from Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems

In 2004, we completed a study for the US EPA where we looked at which fossil/thermal power plants would be offset by Solar PV generation (or any other renewables or energy efficiency for that matter). As the large and colorful report and appendicies show, this is not a simple task.
