CNN's Cold War Experience: The Bomb
The companion site to CNN's series The Cold War Experience includes a number of informative and engaging pages about the development of nuclear weapons and organized resistance to them, as well as nuclear accidents on both sides of the Iron Curtain. In addition to timelines, games, and interactive activities, the site contains explanations of the history and workings of the atomic bomb (including animations and video), a Life magazine article by President Kennedy advising the public on surviving nuclear fallout, and a "Route Cold War" section featuring in-depth looks at important sites in nuclear history.
