Live dead assay on cells in a hydrogel.Characterizing the chemical, functional, and thermal properties of our nanomaterials is critical to understanding their behavior and optimizing their performance. In addition to capabilities within our lab, the shared resource centers at MIT provide a wealth of cutting-edge characterization tools for investigating the thermal, mechanical, electrical, and optical properties of our materials. Members of the group make use of these facilities as necessary for their individual projects and interests.
