Magic Shows This year, ClubChem hopes to revive it's tradition of holding Magic Shows. Our magic shows are geared for the young audience, with the goal of inspiring an interest in chemistry and science in general through up-close and personal encounters with some unbelievable but true chemical phenomena. We typically do them for elementary schools and community youth programs. Important: We receive many requests from organizations world-wide requesting our magic shows. Although we wish we could organize our program for every request, we are all MIT undergraduate students and therefore our time and resources are rather limited. Therefore, we are accepting requests only from organizations that are in Cambridge, or Boston, or are otherwise accessible from MIT campus using the T. We apologize that we do not have the capability to expand our program to a broader community. Furthermore, due to our generally restricted schedules, it is sometimes difficult for us to meet the needs of every request we receive. Each request will be reviewed by the ClubChem board and the decision to organize a program will be made on a request-by-request basis. Thank you! ![]() During the magic shows, we do some eye-popping demonstrations, including some with liquid nitrogen! To really get the students involved, there are even some hands-on, interactive experiments. Interested in booking a Magic Show? Send mail to ccexec@mit.edu\ a |
