| After logging on to COEUS®, check that your department's COEUS® System Administrator has completed these tasks, described under Add users and set up roles:

| Create a new proposal as described below:

| On the Maintain menu, select Proposal development. The window Proposal Search appears. The lower section of the window lists proposal roles for which you are authorized. Select one or more proposals by entering the proposal number, a range of proposal numbers, or other search criteria and press Find.
The window Proposal List appears showing the proposals meeting your search criteria.
Highlight the proposal you want to view, copy, or modify and complete your selection on the Edit menu. If you are viewing a proposal, double-click on the highlighted proposal. Copy proposal | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| On the Add Proposal window:

| You can begin and continue work on these tasks in any order. Tasks marked with a P must be done after you open a specific proposal.

| Use the inbox to see:

| Enter all missing information -- sponsor name, narrative and budget status, lead unit, investigator certification, Yes/No questions, Special Review. Pre-submission checks -- validation, show routing | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| A proposal aggregator or approver can add additional proposal viewers at this time or earlier. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
